The Office of Assessment at Georgia Tech is currently involved in several projects important to the Tech community:
  • Recently a compliance subgroup was launched for SACS reaccreditation in 2005.
  • Faculty, staff, and administrators who will be developing documentation to understand how we comply with SACS criteria are beginning to meet bi-weekly.
  • The General Education Institute Review Committee is continuing work on Academic Program Review. Industrial Design, Biology, Public Policy and the Architecture PhD Program are currently under review.
  • The Office of Assessment is excited about hiring a new Survey Research Coordinator.  The search is currently underway!
  • Preparations for the online administration of the 2003 NSSE are underway. Over 700 first-year students and 700 seniors will be surveyed at the 2003 administration.
  • OIT is working with the Office of Assessment to get annual online program assessments and updates online. The system will also include a report and retrieval system and a history database of all current and archived reports.
