Career & Salary Survey [fall]

The Georgia Tech Career & Salary Survey is administered to determine our students' post-graduation plans, particularly with regard to employment and further education. The survey is administered every fall and spring semester. Salary data results (available to students from the C2D2 website) are based on self-reported information. CIOS (Course Instructor Opinion Survey) [Main Period]

November 28, 2016 - March 31, 2017

Georgia Tech policy requires all courses that have at least seven students and that are not independent research or similar types of courses (visiting lectures, unsupervised laboratory, etc.) be surveyed each term by all enrolled students. To satisfy this policy, a Web-based questionnaire is administered once each term to collect students’ assessments of their classes and instructors. Study Abroad [spring]

This survey evaluates the Office of International Education's (OIE) Study Abroad programs. It seeks feedback on experiences, educational gains, and feedback as to how well prepared the student was, and if the information OIE provides is sufficient and helpful. This survey was developed in Pre-Post format to provide another assessment measure for Georgia Tech’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) International Plan in 2005. NSSE (National Survey of Student Engagement)

March 7 - May 31

The NSSE is designed to collect data about student engagement and the quality of students’ undergraduate learning experiences. First-year and senior students are invited to complete the NSSE online. Comparisons are made between GT student responses and those from sixteen member institutions of the Association of American Universities (AAU) or to those from six Carnegie classified Research University/Very High peer institutions (RU/VH). Survey of Earned Doctorates [spring]

April 13 - May 11

The Survey of Earned Doctorates (SED) is a federal agency survey conducted by NORC for the National Science Foundation and five other federal agencies (National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Education, National Endowment for the Humanities, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration). The SED gathers information annually from approximately 48,000 new U.S. research doctorate graduates about their educational histories, funding sources, and post-doctoral plans.
